Well, i have the ATI 5770 which i bought couple months ago, and i am very satisfied.
I have tried it with graphic options set to full in Batman Arkham Asulym, Assassin's Creed 2, Just Cause 2 and Mass Effect 2 (best game of the year) and Bad Company 2 with no lags and problems.

But, if you want something newer, then i suggest the exact next model, ATI 5830.

I do not know what your budget is that you want to spend on your new video-card and in what time frame you need it.

If you want only the best of the best i would suggest to go for the ATI Radeon HD 5970 at the present time this is far the best card available but also the most expensive one.

in a couple of months there will be a new nvidea fermi card released that will outperform this card (but then again in the future there will be always something better.)

yes, it's about your budget ! Ati 5970 and Nvidia 295GTX(or something) are the powerfullest cards.
I use a 4870 with 1 GB, bought 6 months ago for 120 € - very good price/power.
I think 5770 is a bit slower, but with DirectX 11 - and more expensive.

actually i have Nvidia Gforce 9500GT. but in some maps have lag, just i download new drivers and works better , but...... i need some powerfull.

Hello Anne, and it will certainly strongly recommend it Nvidia GPU is much faster than ATI cards, however it depends on how much you want to spend, look with which you have the game should go well but it all depends on how well you have to windows xp that touched every 2 years is recommended to clean bone operating system format, so you or your graphics card would go smoothly, I am sure

i don't think so. Nvidia Cards aren't faster! Not the actuell Versions. the ATI 5970 is the fastest at the moment.
which CPU do you have Anne? maybe you shouldn't buy a new card - only if it's really nessesary or if you have to much money!
but it's always good to have Hardware which is balanced.

Some Tipps for a better performance, better Ping and better view (CoD4)

Graphicoptions :
- Antialiasing and AnisotropicFiltering OFF.
- resolution how its best for your screen
- model detail ON
- Texturefiltering Trilinear
- Texture Quality Extra
- set 2 Graphiccards ON ,no matter if you just have one (sounds silly, but it works)
- all other Graphicoptions OFF or LOW

Commands for Ingame-Console ( open it with ^^ button ) and type exactly :
- /com_maxfps 125
- /cg_fov 80
- /maxpackets 100
- /snaps 30
- /r_drawdecals 0
- /r_drawsun 0
- /r_drawwater 0
- /cg_brass 0

some servers dont allow all settings, but who cares
start typing always with / and set with enter.
some of those settings are for more fps, some for a better view and some for a better Ping !!!
If you dont like the look now - tell me !

please watch your frames and ping before changes and tell me how they're after the changes. (final Ping after 1-2 days)
i'm interested in it (my ping is gone from 55 down to ~30)

Hi max, I totally agree with you for what you said that all the hardware has to be completely balanced with processor, ram and graphics card, but if touched or windows that have long installed, windows is like a balloon that little by little deflating and you have to do a cleanup to format the hard disk so all the hardware will yield more, a greeting max.
